Is Your House Getting Batty?

The Joker isn't the only one who's had issues with bats... Alaska is home to the Little Brown Bat, an animal that is arguably better at pest control than we are regarding mosquitoes. However, Little Brown Bats can also cause quite a bit of damage to your home.  Little Brown Bats love warm places (like your roof, siding, or attic) and they can get into an opening with a diameter of 6mm or larger. For reference, that's the size of a No. 2 pencil. Once inside your home, bats can leave large deposits of guano and urine which can affect the integrity of your insulation and other building materials and even leak into the living spaces in your home.
